How to care for your silver ware?
Silver cutlery and silver ware must be hand washed individually after finishing meal. They should be stored in plastic bags or in the special cases they were purchased in. Silver and silver plated surface can be scratched, so for cleaning we suggest using soft cloth impregnated with special liquids for silver cleaning. This way silver will preserve original look. Cloth especially designed for silver cleaning can be purchased from Hefra. In prolonged contact with sulfur and its compounds like boiled eggs or mayonnaise, cutlery is covered by sulfide, which is the cause of tarnish of its shiny surface.

Hefra’s silver ware is covered with pure silver 999 applied during special galvanic process, which raises the products resistance for wear off. Before as well as after the galvanic process, items undergo careful polishing process, which ensures their beauty and warm glow, appreciated for generations. To keep the original look, despite the high scratch resistance, other than recommended by Hefra i.e. special fluid “KIWI” or lotion for silver cleansing detergents should not be used.
